Who prepares the CPP?

Working under a principal contractor

The principal contractor prepares the project CPP. A subcontractor follows the parts relevant to its work and coordinates with the project team. Its own task information, RAMS and COSHH assessments still need to reflect the real work.

Only contractor on the project

The contractor must ensure a CPP is drawn up before setting up the site. It should be proportionate to the job. The CPP sections in this pack are a starting point, not an approved or complete project plan.
