About Construction Phase Plans

For projects with several contractors, the principal contractor prepares the CPP. A subcontractor needs to coordinate its work and follow the sections relevant to it. If your business is the only contractor, it must ensure a proportionate CPP is prepared before setting up the site. See when CPP support is relevant →

How we work

Evidence first. Actions in order.

A good audit should make the next decision easier. The process stays proportionate to the work, the people exposed and the controls already in place.

  1. 01

    Understand the job

Scope, activities, interfaces and client requirements are established before conclusions are drawn.

  2. 02

    Test what is happening

Documents are checked against site reality, with positive controls recognised alongside any gaps.

  3. 03

    Make action clear

Findings are prioritised so the team knows what to correct, who needs to act and what good looks like.
